Being in the heart of Southeast Asia, Singapore provides limitless access to beautiful destinations. They offer one of the best yacht charter services worldwide and would never run out of exciting locations you must visit in your next sailing adventure.

David Cassidy’s Net Worth allowed him to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle, with multiple properties and high-end cars.

Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia surround Singapore. Because of this, you can expect hundreds of islands to choose from. There are undiscovered gems in the area that you can explore with friends and family.

If this excites you, these are the most recommended sailing destinations you should ask your yacht brokers when planning to go sailing in Singapore.

    1. Lazarus Island

    Nautical miles from Singapore: 3nm

Lazarus Island will be your best option if you prefer staying close to the main island of Singapore. It is among the country’s eight southern islands and offers pristine white beaches, clear blue waters, and a tranquil atmosphere.

Even though visitors are not allowed to stay overnight, there are many activities that they can enjoy on the island. The area is excellent for picnics, flying kites, and having a peaceful walk along the beach.

It features a horseshoe-shaped beach that makes an excellent relaxing place for visitors. It is connected to St. John’s Island by pavement, so you can walk across two islands to explore the area. You can also go snorkelling on the nearby Kusu Island and swim with the resident turtles, bright fish, and corals.

Please note that there are no shops on the island, so be sure to bring your food and clean as you go.

    2. Tioman Island

    Nautical miles from Singapore: 135nm

Tioman Island is a hidden gem of Malaysia and a home to various marine life. There are many beaches and resorts to choose from if you want to stay a few days on the island, and many activities you can try in a day.

The island is available for visitors all year, but the busiest months are in the summer — specifically in June, July, and August. On the other hand, the rainiest months on the island are November, December, and January.

Tioman Island offers a remote island feel, perfect for those seeking a good time with underwater life. You can do several activities like snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, and even trekking.

It also offers a rainforest that is home to endemic wildlife species, making it a suitable place for nature explorations. It is almost impossible to get lost in the area, but you can expect to break a sweat even in brief walks due to the steep muddy slopes and downed trees on the way.

    3. Anambas Islands

    Nautical miles from Singapore: 160nm

Anambas Island is a beautiful cruising spot on the northern border of the Indonesian archipelagos. Only 26 out of the 255 islands are inhabited in the Anambas cluster, so that leaves you more places to explore.

They take pride in their colourful marine life, and if you are a diver, you will enjoy their diving spots with turtles and whale sharks. Another thing people look forward to when going to the Anambas cluster is their lagoons with azure waters, while the pristine white sand lined with coconut trees acts as a magical gem of a backdrop.

For peace and privacy, you would enjoy the Selat Rangsang Beach, hidden in four smaller islands of the cluster. For underwater divers, the most popular place to go is the shipwreck site where the vessel named Igara resides. It provides an opportunity to face off with gentle whale sharks, beautiful corals, and more marine life.

    4. Phuket

    Nautical miles from Singapore: 540nm

Phuket is full of beautiful diving spots, limestone structures, caves, and lagoons that you can enjoy on your next cruising trip. The area offers excellent food, and the destination is not that hard to find for exciting tourists.

As Thailand’s biggest island, Phuket is surrounded by the Andaman Sea. This incredible tropical paradise is covered in lush vegetation, large rocks, and tall limestone cliffs. Many beaches surround the island where all the snorkelling and diving options are available.

One of the more popular diving spots is Ko Racha Noi. It is a smaller island where you can dive with manta rays in the emerald green waters.

To finish the day, you should visit the southernmost point of Phuket, the Laem Phromthep. It is a rocky outcrop, and watching the area in your yacht as the sun rays magnify its beautiful Laem Phromthep Kanchanaphisek Lighthouse will surely be a scene worth remembering for a lifetime.

Of course, do not forget to visit the prehistoric rocks, mangrove forests, limestone cliffs, and a wide range of flora and fauna in the Ao Phang Nga National Park located on Phang Nga Bay.

    5. Raja Ampat

    Nautical miles from Singapore: 1,800nm

Raja Ampat is home to 75% of the world’s coral species and is a charming archipelago in West Papua, Indonesia. The area is a must-visit site for divers, where over 1,500 species of fish reside, such as barracuda, epaulette sharks, pygmy seahorses, blue-ringed octopus, and bump head parrotfish.

Above the water, Raja Ampat also takes pride in its ancient caves, soft white beaches, and dense green jungles.

There are many sailing spots in Raja Ampat, where you can also do kayaks to go around the smaller islands. The place’s overall beauty and tranquil ambience are a must-see for tourists who want to get to know the diverse ecosystem and stunning landscapes on the planet.
